Our April meeting will be on Sunday April 11t at 2 p.m. We will be touring the Wildflower Meadow at the Kiest Park Conservation Area. The Conservation Area is located on the south side of the park. Access is from North Bound Hampton Road to a yellow metal gate which will be opened for our meeting. Bring sensible shoes as we will be walking down a cleared trail to the meadow.
Brett Johnson, botanist for the city of Dallas will be our guide.

Just an update on plant sales at the Texas Discovery Garden. They still have plants for sale. Prices are 1 gallon $10, 1 quart – $6 and 4″ pots $4.
You have to make an appointment by phone # 214-428-7476 x 210 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Plant sale hours are Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Our November meeting will be at the Texas Discovery Gardens at 2 p.m. You will need to pay for a ticket. We will meet in the gardens for a short meeting and then the gardens and the Butterfly House. There have been a number of improvements to the gardens since our visit 2 years ago.

I have expanded the listings for public gardens in Africa from Algeria to Zimbabwe. A total of 11 new country pages were added to the list of botanical gardens for Africa.
Our next meeting will be Oct. 11, 2020 at 2 p.m. We will be meeting at the Rose Demonstration Gardens in Farmers Branch. The address is 2610 Valley View Lane Farmers Branch 75234.
The roses should be near their peak bloom at this time of year.
Our Sept. 13th meeting at 2 p.m. will feature a presentation on public gardens in San Francisco. There will be a photos and a description of some of the beautiful public gardens in San Francisco.
